It is a collaborative piece involving both music and dance, to reflect the collaborative nature of music-making and education. \nThe creation of CLAPPING! has been a very exciting and thrilling experience for all concerned. As may perhaps be expected with such an innovative and experimental piece, there have been unexpected new discoveries, and of course a great deal of trial and error.\nI think I can say that the production has proved to be an occasion for deep joy and new insight for the students involved and, looking back, I believe the exercise has been of real significance as university education.
