This is the second part of the articleʠLiving with a Mental Disorder\n(I): Life History of a Sierra Leonean Womanʡ(Kanata 2023), which appeared in No. 37 of this journal.\nThis paper follows Satia’s life from September 2008 to September 2023,taking into account trends in the mental health care system in Sierra Leone, which has made remarkable progress in recent years. After living in a psychiatric hospital and continuing to work as an elementary school teacher, Satia was forced to leave due to hospital renovations. She sought a place to stay and eventually lived in a community near the hospital, supported by informal relationships that she had formed during her hospitalization.
