 note = {P(論文), 本稿は、大阪三木楽器開成館の所蔵するピアニスト小倉末子（1891-1944）の書簡（8通）を吟味して、小倉が大阪開成館から出版した2巻のピアノ教本について、成立の経緯と内容構成に関する洞察を得ることをめざす。8通の書簡はいずれも三木登吉（1879-1942、第5代大阪開成館社長）宛で、内6通（書簡1.2.3.6.7.8）が『新撰ピアノ教則本』(1919年1月）、4通（書簡3.4.5.6）が『ピアノ小曲集』(1919年2月）、1通（書簡8）が未刊に終わった幻の著書に言及している。書簡の吟味から、次のことが明らかとなった。1）『新撰ピアノ教則本』については、三木から小倉への執筆依頼が1916年10月以前にあり（書簡1）、1917年5月までに脱稿し、6月に校正が終わって（書簡2）、9月には出版の予定であった（書簡3）。2）小倉はこれを新たな書き下ろしとし、自作曲も入れる考えであった（書簡1）。　3）校正後、小倉は似た性格の曲が２曲あることに気づいたので１曲を省いてほしいと三木に依頼し（書簡6）、１年後にもこの件を問い合わせている（書簡7）。　4）第4版（1924）の準備に当たって小倉は加筆を行った（書簡8）（だが実際には反映されなかった）。　5）『ピアノ小曲集』も1917年8月4日までに脱稿し（書簡4）、執筆料の相談が行われた（書簡5、6）。小倉は、ピアノ初心者の上達にふさわしい曲の難易度、性質、内容、指遣いなどに至るまで細心の注意を払って作成した点で、教則本以上の労力を要したと明かしている（書簡6）。　6）2冊のピアノ教本を揃えて朝鮮李王家へ献上したい、そのために出版時期を選びたいという意向が小倉にあり（書簡3）、それがこれらの出版が1919年まで延期された原因となった可能性が考えられる。　7）『ピアノ学習者の心得』という原稿が三木に託されたが（書簡8）、未刊に終ったと見られる。, This paper examines right letters of pianist OGURA Suye (1891-1944) preserved in Osaka Kaisei-kan, a music and publishing house in Osaka. 
OGURA published two piano music books from this house in 1919, namely, Sinsen Piano Kyoosokubon or New Piano Manual (NPM) and Piano Syo-kyokusyu or Piano Small Pieces (PSP).
Seven of the eight letters were written between October 1916 (Letter No.1) and August 1918 (No.7) and one in 1923 (No.8), all addressed to MIKI Tokichi (1879-1942), the fifth president, MIKI Sasuke, of Osaka Kaisei-kan. 
Six letters (Nos.1,2,3,6,7,8) refer to NPM, four (Nos.3,4,5,6)to PSP, and one (No.8) to an already completed but apparently unpublished book titled "Acquaintance for Piano Learning".
These letters make clear the following points:
1) OGURA was asked to write NPM by MIKI beforeOctober 1916; it was finished by May, proofread in June and planned to appear in September 1917.
2) She intended to write a new manual including some pieces composed by herself.
3) She asked MIKI to omit one piece from NPM, because it contained two pieces of similar character.
4) She proposed further improvements for its fourth edition in 1923, but it was not realized.
5) PSP was finished before 4th August 1917, its payment was discussed in the following letters in which OGURA argued that the compilation of PSP needed more effort than NPM in selecting and arranging pieces of appropriate difficulties, characters, contents and fingering for piano beginners.
6) OGURA cherished the intention to dedicate a pair of NPM and PSP to the former Royal Family of Chosen and it could be the reason that their publication was postponed until 1919.},
