Taking the trend of these studies into consideration,in this paper,we examine the life stories of six youngwomen according to the frames of references that are called life history method and cultural reproduction theory. Mari Ako has been studying on the subject of young women and work. She has carefully recorded theirlife stories on tape and drawn up a large number of documents of their life by making transcriptions from tape recording. In this paper we would like to take the life stories of six women of these documents. Akoreconstructs the life stories according to the aim of this paper. Komatsu attempts to interpret these life stories from the points of view what is called cultural reproduction theory and economic approaches to organizations. Women in home,school or local community acquire not only information, norms, value-orientations but also various skills. They choose or decide on their future course depending on those skills--what Pierre Broudieu called cultural capitals that have been inherited. They obtain a positon in a firm and acquire "en terprise specific skills" throughOJT (on-the-job-training).
