In addition,pension scheme for woman is more obscure cause of variations in occupational situation.To think about theme of woman and pension scheme raise two significant subjects. The subjects are (1) construction of pension scheme that certain the right of pensioner,(2) sum of benefits that satisfied realization of decent level. The subjects are related to labor market institution in Japan. Especially,problem of benefits level have an effect on public assistance system. Because lack of alimony lead to application of public assistance.This paper look (1) outlines of transition of pension scheme for woman,(2)problems in Japanese pension scheme for woman and way of improving. Especially, examination into (2) lead to gender problems in Japanese labor market and Jap anese pension ,scheme's own. Contents of (1) are (i) history of Japanese pension scheme in view of the right of pensioner for women. (ii) concrete substance of present Japanese pension scheme. (iii) the present trends of modifications on system. (i)examination into problems of present system and the course of system. Contents of (2) are (i) examination into the right of pensioner for woman in view of gender. In this paper,these problems are related to Jap anese labor market customs,unpaid work and participation in social security system.
