 note = {ウィリアム・バトラー・イェイツの「エズラ・パウンドに寄せる一連の便り」（"A Packet for Ezra Pound"）は彼の『幻想録』（A Vision）の冒頭に収録されている章であることから、その大著の序文の役割を担っており、また彼とパウンドとの関係がその大著の執筆に大きな役割を果たしたと考えられる。その章自体は三つの随筆、"Rapallo," "Introduction to 'A Vision'," "To Ezra Pound" からなっており、その内の一番目の随筆がイェイツとパウンドの交流の舞台の一つであったイタリアの町の名前であることから、彼らの関係を考えるにあたって、重要な鍵を与えてくれるものと思われる。『幻想録』は非常に難解な作品であるが、この小さな冒頭の随筆も複雑な様相を呈している。既に島津彬郎と鈴木弘が『幻想録』全体の翻訳を1978年、1988年に出しているが、私は最近の研究や情報を使って、新たな翻訳と注解を試みている。今回は、随筆 "Rapallo" についてのみ記す。, "A Packet for Ezra Pound" is the first chapter in the book A Vision by William Butler Yeats. Since it could be considered an introduction to the book, the relationship between Yeats and Pound no doubt played a significant role in the writing of the book. The chapter itself consists of the three essays "Rapallo," "Introduction to 'A Vision'," and "To Ezra Pound." Rapallo is the name of a town in Italy, and is one of the places where Yeats and Pound worked together, so the essay may give some clues about the nature of their relationship. The book as a whole is difficult to understand, and this essay is also complicated. Although the book has already been translated into Japanese by SHIMAZU Akio (1978) and SUZUKI Hiroshi (1988), I am now translating the chapter "A Packet for Ezra Pound" adding my own notes that refer to recent studies and new information. The essay "Rapallo" is finished and printed here.},
