This short thesis examines the author’s formalistic and thematical treatments of the issue in detail and proves the author’s insights about the factors of the family fissures and his elaborate devices to involve the reader in closer reading. As a result, the thesis argues that Ishiguro shows an excellent narrative sensibility in the story as a writer who challenges the ethics of connectedness in the age of diversity.},
