The hypothesis was that circle shows the highest group cohesiveness, comcon shows the second,and wheel shows the lowest. Participants used direct message of Twitter on laptop computers for communicating each other, and performed a task which requires to make 5 idioms using 2 Chinese characters each. After that, participants answered the questionnaire regarding group cohesiveness. As a result of the experiment, it was found that group cohesiveness of circle was significantly higher than that of comcon. However, no significant differences were found between circle and wheel, comcon and wheel. A part of the hypothesis wasn’t supported. Then, a new model with the amount of communication as a mediator between communication structure and group cohesiveness was analyzed. The amount of communication was divided into two aspects; the number of words and number of remarks put out per minute. Results revealed that the number of remarks had a positive effect on group cohesiveness in all communication structures.
