 note = {本稿は、バングラデシュでのフィールド教育実践について、対象とテーマの設定、また映像制作を方法とすることの可能性について検討する。2020年2月に筆者が共同担当者とともに実施した「バングラデシュ・ファッション・フィールド・スタディ（BFFS）」では、バングラデシュのファッションをめぐる2つの動きに着目した。1つは輸出型アパレル産業、もう1つはバングラデシュ国内のローカルファッション文化とその変容である。前者はグローバル・イシューとして広く知られているが、学生たちにとって「先入観確認ツアー」とならないために、後者のローカルファッションに関する調査を促し、グローバルとローカルの住み分けられた状況について考える機会とした。また、記録と成果発表の手法として映像制作を導入した。撮影や編集のプロセスは学生たちに、見たもの、聞いたことに忠実に解釈を構築させうる。
　バングラデシュではこれまでにも国際協力 NGO や大学が現地 NGO とのコラボによって、社会開発をテーマとした海外体験学習を展開してきた。しかし現在バングラデシュは大きな社会変動を迎えており、国際関係のあり方も変化しつつある。本稿で筆者が検討したフィールド教育は、「私たちの問題＝グローバル・イシュー」にバングラデシュで出会うことを促す機会であった。, This paper discusses a field study course conducted in Bangladesh as an example of how we can introduce fieldwork to our students and suggests filmmaking as a method of study. The Bangladesh Fashion Field Study (BFFS), which I conducted with my co‒instructor in February 2020, examined Bangladesh fashion from two aspects : the export‒oriented garment industry and the transformation of the local fashion culture. Problems in Bangladesh’s garment industry are widely recognized as a global issue. Therefore in order to prevent the field study from becoming a “confirmation tour”of preconceptions, especially of “developing countries,” I encouraged students to investigate local fashion and to think about how global and local industries and cultures are negotiated. This was done through making a film, as the processes of filming and editing could allow students to carefully interpret the video footage they shot in the field.
  Bangladesh is a field where various poverty reduction and social development projects have been carried out since independence in 1971, and where many international NGOs and universities have developed field education programs in collaboration with local NGOs. Although Bangladesh society has been an arena of development studies, it is currently undergoing major changes, including in the nature of its international relations with other
countries. Through the BFFS, I invite students to Bangladesh to discover what can be considered collective “global issues.”},
