| 内容記述 | The structure of the right-handed ω-helical form of synthetic polypeptide PCIBLA in fibrous state has been studied again, and found to be in the monoclinic system. A suitable molecular model, especially of its sidechain conformation has been worked out computationally to be consistent with X-ray diffraction data and polarized IR absorption data once obtained. Equatorial structure factor for the superposed up- and down- chain model of the pseudo 4 helix has been calculated by using a newly developed BASIC soft, that is in good agreement with the observed scatterning amplitudes. These results indicate that the sidechain conformation is fairly regular despite disordered assemlbies of molecules, its plane of chlorophenyl group being inclined to stack on in a molecule and interacting with that of neighbor molecules. The reason of the cell deformation from tetragonal paching by para- chloro substitution is explained on the basis of steric conditions to accommodate chlorine atom. | |||||
