内容記述 | Nukata-no-Okimi is one of the representative poetesses in Man-yo-shu. Her twelve poems have been favorites of many people from ancient times, but Nukata herself has not been well studied yet. The purpose of this manuscript is to try to capture a part of her actual life. The most famous poem written by her is the 20th poem of the 1st volume of Man-yo-shu. Up to now, there have been two interpretations for this poem: 1. She expressed her secretive love for her ex-husband, Oama-no-Miko, in the poem. 2. The poem was written at a party to liven up the festivities. To judge which interpretation is the right one, I examined the answering poem written by Oama-no-Miko. I analyzed the meaning of Oama-no-Miko's poem dividing it into three parts. By doing so, I arrived at the conclusion that Oama-no-Miko wrote it with his love to Nukata-no-Okimi. Consequently, we can say that the interpretation 1 is correct: Nukata also wrote the 20th poem with her love for Oama. Nukata and Oama had been husband and wife, but Nukata became one of Tenchi-Tenno's imperial concubines. The 20th and the 21st poem are the poems written by Nukata, as a married woman, and Oama, who continued to love her even though she had become anothoer man's wife. | |||||
