内容記述 | After the Sino-Japan War, the number of girls' school increased rapidly under the strengthened govermental intervention and control with "Ryosai-Kenbo"(Good wife-Wise mother) as their official slogan. The girl student became a new social phenomenon, where the journalism found a victim of scandal-mongering. On the other hand, some novelists were interested in describing various types of girl students and female teachers as new heroines. These heroines suffered from the conflicts between the inner aspirations and the social environment."The naturalism,"which was fashionable in those days, influenced such novelists though it was interpreted arbitrarily. Together with the naturalism, other European thoughts, including the anarchism, the socialism and the feminism were introduced and welcomed by a few young radicals. There appeared two aggressive groups among them. One was the "Heimin-sha"(Levelers), an anarchist group, some of whose members were female. The other was the "Seitou-sha"(Blue Stocking), a feminist group which was founded by several alumnae of Nippon Joshidaigaku, the only women's university then. Paradoxically, the girls' school bred the most militant protestants. | |||||
