内容記述 | Health means not only being in a good condition but also keeping sanitation and maintaning a healthy body in a good environment. With such technical considerations of body in mind, people in Japan used to regard urban areas as endangering place and people who lived there seeked to live in the suburbs. As a result, the suburbs were regarded as domestic areas. Because of this, people made up a myth that the domestic areas were just for mothers and children. It promoted the mothers' interest in higher education for children. Most of the mothers tried to make their children healthy, smart and innocent, that is , "perfect" so that the mothers worried about child care very much. People believed that the mothers' unfavorable behaviors affected the growth of the children and that the children's success hinged on the mothers' support. Children were estimated in the standard based on such a myth and this produced the issue of exclusion. Seeking respectable things (just like "perfect children") means distinguishing respectable things from non-respectable ones. As a general rule, people hope to bring up chilren in a good environment but it brings about uneasiness and exclusion. In such a cultural movement, the area between Osaka and Hyogo was made up into a "respectable place." | |||||
