| 内容記述 | Scientific research is often considered as a purely objective and value-free process in which a neutral scientist investigates and reveals the secrets of nature. This article analyzed sources of distortion in psychological research from a historical perspective : how positivist empiricist criteria for science since the 17th century applied to psychology. Feminist psychologists have argued that traditional scientific inquiry has biases which can enter into at any stage of psychological research process. Human behavior is shaped by sociocultural and political forces. Three types of feminist scholarship within the English-speaking world were also briefly overviewed in this article ; feminist positivism, feminist standpoint theory, and feminist postmodernism. Although there are a number of different lenses, feminist psychology is now one of emerging fields even in Japan. | |||||
