| 内容記述 | 20世紀後半以降、キリスト教神学では、キリスト教と諸宗教との関係をどう考えるかが、重要な課題となっている。ジョン・ヒックの「宗教多元主義」をはじめ、その主要な議論は、日本にも紹介されている。一方で、日本のキリスト教神学においては、諸宗教を論ずることへの抵抗感も小さくない。その背景には、（宗教を含む）文化に価値を認めないバルト神学の影響、そしてキリスト教を国家神道と無批判に結びつけた「日本的キリスト教」への反省などがある。いいかえれば、そこには、諸宗教を論じることが、キリスト教を日本に埋没させることにつながるのではないか、という警戒感がある。他方、諸宗教をどのように考えるかという問いは、キリスト教の土着化を考える上でも重要な意味をもつ。1960年代の日本の土着化論においては、キリスト教と日本の緊張関係を維持することの重要性がすでに確認されていた。しかし1970年代以降の日本では、土着化についての神学的議論が深化させられることはなかった。必要なのは、日本のコンテクストに対する緊張感を維持しつつ、諸宗教について考える道を探ることである。その手ががりを得るために、本稿では、内村鑑三の仏教論に注目する。彼の議論においては、信仰の絶対性の主張、他宗教への尊敬、さらに同時代の西洋および日本の状況への批判的視点が並存している。こうした内村の議論は、今回の諸宗教の神学にも大きな示唆を与える。 | |||||||||||

| 内容記述 | Since the middle of the 20th century, the relationship between Christianity and other world religions has been one of the major points for discussion in Christian theology. Some of the major arguments, represented by John Hick's "religious pluralism", are well known in Japan ; however, Japanese theologists have been reluctant to discuss "religions". What lies behind this inclination is a strong concern that discussing religions may lead to ruining Christianity in Japan. It also should be noted, however, how to conceptualize religions has an important meaning in the contextualization of Christianity in Japan. In the 1960s, the importance of maintaining productive tensions between Christianity and Japanese society was discussed and acknowledged. However, since the 1970s, the contextualization of Christianity has not been meaningfully discussed in Japan. Accordingly, it is necessary to explore how to conceptualize religions while maintaining productive tensions in the context of Japan. To achieve this end, this article focuses on the UCHIMURA Kanzo's discussions about Buddhism, particularly his ideas of the absolute values of Christianity, the respect for other religions, and his critiques on the Western and Japanese situations at the time. | |||||||||||
