| 内容記述 | 一九三六年に正宗白鳥と小林秀雄の間に「思想と実生活」論争が行われた。それは、晩年のトルストイの家出の理由が、妻のヒステリーを恐れた実生活にあるか、それとも彼の人類救済を含む文学思 想の存在にあるのか、という認識の食い違いから、「思想と実生活」の関係というより普遍的な争点 に発展していった。本稿は、この論争の対立構図を還元し、特に小林秀雄によって提示された「思想 と実生活の分離」という命題を通して、有島武郎が一九二〇年前後に悩まされた「思想と実生活」の 問題に遡行し、正宗・小林と比較しながら、彼の二元的世界観が独特な「愛」の哲学によって高い次 元での一元化へと変換しようとしたこと自体は、どのような意味を持っているのかを探ってみた。晩 年のトルストイの家出には、正宗と小林の対立だけでなく、有島の二元的世界観も反映されていた。 この論争に、有島を潜在的な参加者として入れてみると、「思想と実生活」の対立とその止揚がより 立体的に見えてくると思われる。 | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | In 1936, a controversy on “thought and real life” took place between MASAMUNE Hakucho and KOBAYASHI Hideo. Was it because of his fear of his wife’s hysterical real life or was it because of his literary thought of trying to redeem humanity that Tolstoy ran away from home in his later years? The divergence in the understanding later developed into a more general debate topic of the relationship between thought and real life for MASAMUNE Hakucho and KOBAYASHI Hideo. The purpose of this paper is first to show the opposite structure of this controversy, and especially through the proposition of “separation of thought and real life” put forward by KOBAYASHI, to trace perplexity of “thought and reallife” troubling ARISHIMA Takeo around 1920. By comparing to MASAMUNE and KOBAYASHI, the paper also explores the significance of the effort ARISHIMA made when he attempted to transform his binary world view to a higher dimensional monism through his unique “love” philosophy. Tolstoy’s departure from home in his later years reflected not only the confrontation between MASAMUNE and KOBAYASHI, but also the binary world view of ARISHIMA. The inclusion of ARISHIMA as a potential participant in this controversy should give us more insights into the opposition and sublation of “thought and real life”. | |||||||||
