| 内容記述 | Some changes have been occurring in the northern area of the Yamatokogen highlands, as well as in most of the rural Japanese villages since 1960's. For example, as the full-time farmers decrease in number year by year, the part-time farmers and non-farming workers are increasing remarkably. Most of non-farming workers commute to jobs outside their hamlets, and many young men have gone out from the villages to be engaged in non-agricultural works in the cities. On the other hand, some full-time farmers in this area, Tukigase village particularly, have enlarged their fields to accomodate the new tea manufacturing with the aid of the national projects. They have succeeded in modernization and rationalization of the agriculture in this area. | |||||
